how do i use openvr2key on gorrila tag steam vr

Current behavior

im trying to use openvr2key as a soundboard with voicemod but when i open an app the key input gets blocked anyway i could unblock the input thing when i have an app on steam vr open

It says blocked if you have the SteamVR dashboard open, just close the dashboard after configuration, or do the configuration on your actual desktop, not in the VR headset.
