Password origin do not match

Hello,

I'm trying to log in with existing credentials on an app, but after selecting the right credentials it says Password origin do not match.

I verified the saved origin and it seems correct, it should be recognized as a subdomain for this origin.

KeepassDX doesn't say anything else. I have no idea what origin it tried to match against.

How do I allow the app to access this password?

There might be a bug here. Could you please open a detailed bug report, including the app you're trying to use and a step-by-step guide on how to reproduce your issue?

In version 4.3.3, the origin of the application is determined by an appId and its fingerprint; if a URL comparison is performed, the URLs must match exactly. This is because the technology is similar to that of Passkey and RelyingParty, rather than subdomains as in autofill.

I think I've fixed the bug; you can try version 4.4.0_beta03 to test it out.

I seem to run into the same issue with version 4.4.3. The secret in question has both an URL field and an AndroidApp field, but the keepassdx overlay in the app shows the URL and then denies pasting password with the error reported above. Seems like it uses the URL as the origin but then checks it against the app name.

I went ahead and saved the password again via the overlay after putting it manually and I noticed that the new secret also has an app signature field which the old one didn't. If that's the cause then it just be nice if the error could be more specific and point me to the missing signature.
