Is it possible to use Crowdsec Manager through Pangolin VPN? #31
|
There has been a new implementation of Pangolin where it is possible to configure Olm to make a private connection with other clients. I was wondering if it was possible to replace the Tailscale configuration with a Machine Client so that it is not necessary to install Tailscale or any other third-party provider. |

@vk2r you can't put crowdsec Manager with pangolin stack together or route the manager through pangolin. You have to manage the stack via crowdsec Manager and by any chance if restart or apply changes to anything via crowdsec Manager you will lock yourself out if something didn't apply or was misconfigured. |

So the alternative would be to use NetBird? |

@vk2r yes any, even a separate sidecar wg will do. |

Hey guys,
If the question was, "can I access from my LAN to the crowdsec dashboard on my VPS," yes, you can definitely do it with pangolin.
Your VPS don't even need to expose IP / services etc. For example, you can bind 127.0.0.1:8090 as your dashboard port (in the docker-compose file).
you just need a newt node on your VPS (create node in pangolin UI + install binary on your VPS)
create private ressources like 127.0.01 pango.tmp in your UI
from you LAN PC (install and configure your pangolin VPN and join the VPN)
use the host pango.tmp to join ressources of you VPS/dashboard, you need to write the port, like: http://pango.tmp:8090/
that its.
if you need more details, just tel…
