The idea is that contributors who putting their first issue or even their merge/pull request will be required to acknowledge the GNOME Code of Conduct and then provide some helpful links. For MRs, we will also need to set expectation that while their code contribution is valuable that there maybe reasons that they will be rejcted. This will help reduce churn. There are still challenges of course, but having this service will really help provide a more welcoming experience. The project will be tested on the GNOME engagement team before we start convincing other project maintainers to incorporate the bot in their issue/code contributions.

Ratatoskr MCP Server

Project Overview

MCP Server for GNOME integration, providing access to GNOME desktop information and system details via the Model Context Protocol.

Key Points

Explore MCP tooling possibilities with the GNOME destop. We will share reference architectures to help shorten developers’ paths to releasing performant AI applications to meet the needs of stakeholders and users. Finally, we’ll share community efforts, such as the Linux Foundation’s Open Platform for Enterprise AI project, to advance this critical work. This would be a great place to do tricks and tips, more concise documentation to do specific things.

Contribution is through the usual methods of either submitting a pull request. I’m willing to entertain giving folks priv access since a single person is not scalable. I’m certainly willing to give to folks who represent other architectures like Arm, RocM, Nvidia, RISC-V and so on. The wiki should be a resource for everyone. The only thing I ask is to follow the PR process regardless so that we can at least look over grammar and spelling for consistency sake.

oneAPI Meetup: Rusticl with Karol Herbst

About This Meetup

The oneAPI Meetup Series was a community interview program hosted at Intel, bringing together developers, maintainers, and industry leaders to discuss the open source and heterogeneous computing ecosystem.
