os error 13 is EACCES (Permission denied) on Linux. Turbopack is failing to write to .next/dev/static/chunks/, which means the process running next dev doesn't have write permission on that path. This is usually an environment issue, not a Next.js bug.

Since the path is under /mnt/DATA, it's likely a separately mounted drive. Things to check:

1. Ownership of .next. If you ever ran next dev or next build with sudo, the .next folder may now be owned by root:

   ls -la /mnt/DATA/Projects/brightsityl-landingPage/

Fix it with sudo chown -R $USER:$USER .next (or delete .next, which Next will recreate).

2. Mount options. Check whether the drive is mounted read-only or with restrictive permissions:

   mount | grep /mnt/DATA

Look for ro in the options, or a filesystem (such as NTFS) that doesn't map Linux permissions correctly. If it's NTFS, mounting with proper uid/gid/umask options usually resolves this.

3. Running in WSL. If you're on WSL and the project lives on a Windows drive, writes through /mnt/ can fail or behave inconsistently. Moving the project into the Linux filesystem (for example ~/projects/) is the usual fix.

Could you share the output of ls -la for the project folder, mount | grep /mnt/DATA, node -v, and your OS? With that we can tell which of the above applies.

Thanks for the answer. I am new to Linux. My Laptop currently runs Ubuntu, as for outputs:
node -v: 24.21.0
ls -la: A list with files and folders, but root is nowhere to be found.
mount | grep /mnt/DATA: nothing
