Summary

Per the discussion in #253, adds process tracking so Copilot periodically re-checks whether
MariaDB Galera Cluster has added official/production support for replicating Aria tables (the
storage engine Flowview's raw flow tables use), and documents the current state for users.

Changes

  • .github/copilot-instructions.md: adds a "Galera/Aria Replication Compatibility Tracking"
section instructing that, on any pull request opened at least a month after the previous one,
the current MariaDB Galera documentation should be re-checked for Aria replication support and
the finding recorded. Once officially supported, the instructions say to move the note to
README.md and delete the tracking section (no more periodic checks needed at that point).
  • .github/copilot-instructions.md / README.md: records the current finding — Aria table
replication under Galera is possible via wsrep_mode=REPLICATE_ARIA (MariaDB 10.6.0+), but
MariaDB's own documentation still labels it experimental and says it "should not be relied
upon in production systems." No MariaDB version currently offers officially supported Aria
    replication under Galera.
  • README.md: adds a "Galera Cluster Replication (Aria Tables)" note under the installation
requirements so anyone deploying Flowview behind a Galera cluster is aware that Aria tables
won't replicate by default and that the only current workaround is experimental.

Test plan

  • Reviewed current MariaDB documentation (wsrep_mode system variable reference and Galera
known-limitations pages at https://mariadb.com/docs/galera-cluster/) to confirm the
REPLICATE_ARIA option, its introduction in MariaDB 10.6.0, and its experimental status.
  • Posted the finding as a comment on Is flowview 5 working ? #253 for visibility before closing it.
  • Doc-only change; no code paths affected.

FlowView's raw flow tables use the Aria storage engine. MariaDB Galera Cluster does not fully
support replicating non-InnoDB storage engines out of the box (see
[Cacti/plugin_flowview#253](https://github.com/Cacti/plugin_flowview/issues/253)); Aria
replication is currently only reachable via the **experimental** `wsrep_mode=REPLICATE_ARIA`
option.

Flowview's raw flow tables use the Aria storage engine. If you replicate your
database with MariaDB Galera Cluster (rather than standard replication/MaxScale
above), be aware that Galera does **not** replicate non-InnoDB storage engines
by default, so Aria tables will silently fail to replicate to other cluster nodes.
