Your Vacation Tracker

This "Your Vacation Tracker" application's purpose is to allow users to add, edit, and delete vacation data. Users can add excursions to each vacation, and also edit and delete them.

Additionally, users can:

• Set notifications for the start and end dates of vacations
• Set notifications for excursion dates
• Copy details of a vacation to share with friends.

To operate this application, follow these directions:

• To add a vacation:

  • Navigate from the home page to the vacations list by pressing the 'See your vacations' button.
  • Locate the 'Add Vacation' button on the bottom right and press it
  • Fill out your vacation information
    • To test date validation, leave the date empty and attempt to save.
    • To test the end date validation within the vacation, select an end date that is before the start date and attempt to save.
  • Fill out correct dates and click save.

• To add an excursion to a vacation:

  • When on the vacations list page, click a vacation.
  • Locate the 'Manage Excursions(0)' button and click it.
  • Fill out your excursion information
    • To test date validation, leave teh date empty and empty to save.
    • To test the date validation within the vacation, select a date that is not within the vacation dates and attempt to save.
  • Fill out a correct date and click save.

• To edit a vacation:

  • When on the vacations page, click a vacation.
  • Edit the vacation.
  • Click save.

• To edit an excursion:

  • When on the vacations page, click a vacation. Note: your vacation must have an excursion.
  • Click the 'Manage Excursions' button.
  • Edit the fields.
  • Click save.

• To delete a vacation:

  • When on the vacations page, click a vacation.
  • If the 'Delete' button is greyed out, then the vacation has excursions attached to it.
  • Navigate to the 'Manage Excursions' button and click it.
  • Navigate through each excursion and click the 'Delete' button for each.
  • Once all excursions have been deleted, click the 'Delete' button on the vacation details page.

• To delete an excursion:

  • When on the vacations page, click a vacation.
  • Click the 'Manage Excursions' button.
  • Click an excursion.
  • Click the delete button.

• To set a Start or End date notification for a vacation:

  • When on the vacations page, click a vacation. Note: your vacation must start on today's date.
  • Locate the three dots in the top right corner and click them.
  • Select 'Notify Start Date' or 'Notify End Date'
  • Observe confirmation, then observe notification.

• To set a notification for an excursion date:

  • When on the vacations page, click a vacation. Note: Your vacation must have an excursion.
  • Click the 'Manage Excursions' button.
  • Click an excursion.
  • Locate the three dots in the top right corner and click them.
  • Select 'Notify Excursion Date'
  • Observe confirmation, then observe notification.

The Android Version for the Signed APK is:

Minimum: SDK 26 (Android 8.0) Target: SDK 36 (Android Studio does not allow anything under 33 anymore.)
