Rejects a malformed psc_consumer_subnet_cidr at plan time instead of failing in the GCP API, from the #11 review. No infra change for existing envs.

What changed

  • psc_consumer_subnet_cidr validation: must parse as an IPv4 CIDR (cidrnetmask, which rejects IPv6)

Test

terraform validate passes; the condition is true for 10.0.2.0/29 and false for 2001:db8::/64, not-a-cidr, 10.0.2.0 and 300.0.0.0/29.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Bug Fixes
    • Added validation for consumer subnet CIDR values.
    • Invalid or unparseable IPv4 CIDR inputs now produce a clear error message.

📝 Walkthrough

The psc_consumer_subnet_cidr variable now validates that its value parses as an IPv4 CIDR. Invalid values produce an explicit error.

Changes: PSC subnet validation

Layer / File(s) Summary
Validate the PSC subnet CIDR
compute/variables.tf
The variable uses cidrhost to validate the CIDR value and rejects invalid values with an IPv4-CIDR error.

This passes 10.0.2.1/29 and /30–/32, and GCP rejects both at apply. Also require a network address and a prefix of /29 or shorter.

Minor · With the condition from haimbj1's suggestion on line 64, this message is wrong for 10.0.2.1/29 and /30, because both are IPv4 CIDRs. Say what the check requires.
