I'm Marco, an Aeronautical Engineer and PhD Candidate at the KratosMultiphysics Group (CIMNE & UPC BarcelonaTech). My research focuses on computational aerodynamics, reduced-order modelling (ROM), scientific computing, and aerodynamic shape optimization (ASO) for aerospace applications. I develop fast and reliable numerical methods for nonlinear PDE-based problems, particularly transonic aerodynamic flows, combining CFD, reduced-order modelling, optimization techniques, and scientific machine learning.
My current work includes nonlinear and hyper-reduced ROMs, parametric and adaptive modelling techniques, aerodynamic optimization, and physics-aware ML methods for scientific computing. My developments are based on the KratosMultiphysics framework, with a strong focus on scalable and industrially applicable computational methods for engineering simulations.
More broadly, I am interested in CFD, computational mechanics, numerical methods for PDEs, high-performance scientific computing, and open-source engineering software. Here you will find repositories related to ROMs, CFD workflows, optimization frameworks, scientific ML, and aerospace engineering research projects.
