Summary

Hardens the AWS Marketplace single-node installer after live end-to-end deployment testing exposed bootstrap and orchestration failures.

Changes

• preserve Amazon Linux 2023 curl-minimal during host bootstrap
• require an explicitly supported Availability Zone
• store Docker images, named volumes, databases, and logs on the retained encrypted data volume
• retry quiet Marketplace image pulls three times
• download the commit-pinned environment template required by the one-time env-sync container
• make CloudFormation wait for backend, desktop, and mobile health checks before reporting success
• signal installation failures back to CloudFormation instead of producing false CREATE_COMPLETE states
• document deployment, upgrade, troubleshooting, retention, and cost behavior

• 9 focused Marketplace template tests pass
• git diff --check passes
• AWS CloudFormation validate-template passes
• Published S3 template checksum matches the source artifact (SHA-256 8036c9801207890098fbf9fe4b4af0949bf44c6c1f86d69db5165f9af2a0db27)
• Isolated AWS Marketplace deployment completed successfully as stack quantdinger-marketplace-e2e-20261026-r5
• CloudFormation health gate verified backend, desktop, and mobile before reporting CREATE_COMPLETE

Compatibility

No application API or UI behavior changes. Existing image tags remain immutable. New installations place Docker state under /opt/quantdinger/docker-data on the retained EBS data volume.
