Improve queue crash counting, migration status and regression coverage - #694
#61737, #62048 — Add CountCrashesAsExceptions for jobs, queued listeners, mailables and notifications. Interrupted attempts count toward maxExceptions when their processing marker survives until the next attempt. Document the shared-cache requirement, marker expiry and custom-driver callback contract.
#61899 — Forward DeleteWhenMissingModels and FailOnTimeout to queued mailables, with attribute/property coverage and a missing-model integration test.
#61896, #61858, #61971 — Include connection and queue details in worker JSON status output and add queue:failed --queue filtering.
#61989 — Report skipped migrations distinctly in migrate:status. Evaluate shouldRun() only before the first pending migration, preserving migration dependencies and the configured pending exit code.
#62032 — Compare encrypted object and collection casts by their decrypted values so unchanged values remain clean. Preserve malformed-original recovery and propagation of decryption failures.
#61863, #61944 — Remove reference cycles from mailable header/priority callbacks and MorphTo soft-delete callbacks. Add weak-reference tests that verify collection without a garbage-collection pass.
#61888, #62036 — Provide an ASCII fallback for download filenames and allow redirect responses wherever Responsable is accepted. Preserve redirect status, headers and location, and existing streaming/cancellation coverage.
#61925 — Preserve numeric keys in JSON translations while allowing later paths to override earlier values.
#61877, facade update — Align logoutOtherDevices() and its rehash helper with their side-effect-only return contract, including the generated facade and type fixture.
#61765, #61844, #61999, #61790 — Complete Eloquent coverage for enum IDs, collection/model inputs to findOrFail(), and explicitly disabled factory relationships. Consolidate overlapping cases while retaining stronger identity, duplicate-ID and missing-model assertions.
#61777, #61780, #61957, #62062 — Add upstream regression coverage for literal dotted cache keys, numeric memoized tagged-cache keys, lazy iterable lookups and collection range bounds.
#61893, #61923, #61927, #61796, #62103 — Complete behavioral coverage for literal URL braces, multiline server-sent events, failover mail retry settings, boolean database-rule constraints and non-date validation inputs.
Additional Hypervel Fixes
Clear crash markers before releasing jobs or publishing failures. Share per-attempt cleanup between the job, timeout monitor and final cleanup so an immediate retry is neither counted as a crash nor erased by the old attempt. Coordinate concurrent cleanup with the existing coroutine lock, retain markers on abnormal cancellation, and skip marker admission when a before-job listener has already failed or released the job. Keep failed marker deletion retryable, and leave the job eligible for release if its failure-cleanup callback throws.
Keep crash-counting lifecycle callbacks optional for custom drivers. Drivers extending the base job inherit them; direct job-contract implementations must support the capability to opt in. The universal job contract is unchanged. Document the interval between cache cleanup and backend handoff where a process death cannot be counted.
Match failed-job queue names exactly, including distinct numeric names such as 0 and 00, in listings and file-provider retry IDs.
Preserve JSON object-versus-array structure and scalar types when comparing plain and encrypted object casts, so real changes are saved while equivalent formatting stays clean.
Affected tests, formatting, and full source and type-fixture analysis pass. Redis coverage used an isolated instance. Existing local skips concern the unavailable FTP extension and HTTP engine cases awaiting Swoole fixes.
Adds a CountCrashesAsExceptions attribute (or public property) on queued jobs, notifications, mailables, and event listeners. The resolved flag is stored on the queued job so the worker can count detected crashes toward the max exception limit.
Adds JobLifecycleCallbacks with beforeReleasing/beforeFailing registration on Jobs\Job; callbacks run before release or failure publication.
Adds JobProcessingMarker in JobProcessingMarker.php to coordinate marker cleanup between the job coroutine and timeout monitor. Failed deletion retains the marker and raises a runtime exception so a later attempt can retry.
Migration status: Migrator::shouldSkip resolves a migration and returns true when its shouldRun returns false; StatusCommand::getStatusFor in StatusCommand.php labels skipped migrations gray before the first pending one and uses strict name matching.
Other fixes: FileFailedJobProvider and queue:failed --queue use strict queue matching (separates 0 from 00); JSON worker stop/queue status output now includes connection and queue; non-ASCII download filenames get an underscore fallback; Eloquent originalIsEquivalent compares JSON object/collection casts by decoded structure and handles encrypted casts.
Behavioral Change: Auth::logoutOtherDevices now returns void instead of the user or null; Jobs\Job::fail runs pre-failure callbacks before marking failure and returns early for already-deleted jobs. Custom job implementations must implement JobLifecycleCallbacks to use CountCrashesAsExceptions (documented in README.md).
Declare the side-effect-only guard methods as void and regenerate the facade and type fixture. Preserve password rehashing, session updates and logout events. Includes facade commit 340d627681.

Add CountCrashesAsExceptions and forward queue attributes through listeners, mailables and notifications. Share one per-attempt marker state across the job, timeout monitor and final cleanup. Clear it before release or failure publication so an immediate retry cannot be counted as a crash or have its marker erased by the old attempt. Also forward DeleteWhenMissingModels and FailOnTimeout for queued mailables, include connection/queue fields in worker JSON output and filter queue:failed by queue, preserving the queue name '0'. These changes share queue documentation and wrapper files.

The pull request updates queue worker crash handling, migration status reporting, Eloquent comparisons and lookups, response handling, and several support components. It also adds tests and documentation for these changes.
Jobs can register callbacks before release and failure. The crash-counting attribute and corresponding properties are propagated to queued job payloads.
The worker records processing markers for eligible jobs, checks for markers from interrupted attempts, and clears markers during lifecycle and timeout handling. Tests cover cleanup, handoffs, exception limits, and jobs without lifecycle callbacks.
Queue command options and status output src/queue/src/Console/*, tests/Queue/*CommandTest.php, tests/Console/Fixtures/command_signatures.php, tests/Integration/Queue/WorkCommandTest.php
queue:failed can filter by queue. Worker JSON status output includes connection and queue values for pause, resume, and stop updates.
Documentation describes crash counting and callback requirements, along with mailable behavior for missing models and timeouts. An integration test checks deletion of a queued mailable when its model is missing.

High-Level Assessment
The following are alternative approaches to this PR:
1. Track interrupted attempts in queue backends
➕ Could avoid requiring a separate shared cache.
➕ Could tie crash detection to backend reservation state.
➖ Requires driver-specific changes and potentially new backend capabilities.
➖ Makes consistent behavior across custom drivers harder to maintain.
Recommendation: Keep the shared-cache marker and optional lifecycle capability: they provide one worker-level mechanism without changing the universal job contract. Reviewers should particularly verify cleanup ordering against real driver handoffs and the documented gap between marker removal and backend completion.
• Checks markers on admission, counts an interrupted prior attempt against maxExceptions, and shares cleanup with timeout and handoff paths. Jobs requesting the feature without lifecycle callbacks fail before execution.
StatusCommand.phpDistinguish skipped migrations in status output+10/-6
Distinguish skipped migrations in status output
• Reports conditional skips before the first pending migration, leaving later unapplied migrations pending so their dependencies are not evaluated prematurely.
1. Crashes in before-job hooks go uncounted 🐞 Bug≡ Correctness
Description
process() dispatches JobProcessing before markJobAsFailedIfAlreadyExceedsMaxExceptions()
writes the processing marker to cache. If the worker dies while a before-job listener runs, the next
attempt creates a fresh marker and does not count the interrupted attempt.
The listener dispatch precedes the only cache write; a successful cache add on the following attempt
returns without incrementing the exception counter.
The issue below was found during a code review. Follow the provided context and guidance below and implement a solution
## Issue description
A worker death during a `JobProcessing` listener leaves no cached marker, so the interrupted attempt is not counted.
## Fix Focus Areas
- src/queue/src/Worker.php[935-948]
- src/queue/src/Worker.php[1196-1217]
## Recommended Fix
Perform marker admission before dispatching before-job listeners. Preserve cleanup when a listener normally throws, fails, or deletes the job.

2. Overlapping attempts can hide a crash 🐞 Bug≡ Correctness
Description
JobProcessingMarker::clear() unconditionally deletes a cache key shared by every attempt with the
same job UUID. If two deliveries overlap, cleanup of the first can remove the second attempt’s
active marker, so a subsequent crash of the second attempt is not counted on its next delivery.
Each attempt has its own marker object, but those objects use the same UUID-based cache key. Timeout
cleanup forgets that key without checking ownership, and the next delivery treats a successful add
as evidence that no attempt was interrupted.
The issue below was found during a code review. Follow the provided context and guidance below and implement a solution
## Issue description
Overlapping attempts share a UUID-based marker, allowing one attempt’s cleanup to erase another attempt’s active marker.
## Fix Focus Areas
- src/queue/src/JobProcessingMarker.php[22-45]
- src/queue/src/Worker.php[1035-1055]
- src/queue/src/Worker.php[1196-1217]
## Recommended Fix
Track marker ownership per attempt and make deletion conditional on that ownership. Ensure admission and cleanup remain safe when attempts overlap across workers.

3. Cleanup failures leave jobs reserved✓ Resolved
Description
Job::fail() sets hasFailed() before invoking the new beforeFailing callbacks, so a throwing
marker cleanup aborts deletion and failure publication while leaving that flag set. When this
happens during worker exception handling, its release guard sees the job as failed and does not
return the still-reserved job to the queue.
The new callback runs after markAsFailed() but before delete() and the failure event. The
worker’s exception handler releases only jobs for which hasFailed() is false.
The issue below was found during a code review. Follow the provided context and guidance below and implement a solution
## Issue description
A throwing before-failure callback leaves a job marked failed without deleting it or publishing its failure, which also prevents the worker from releasing it.
## Fix Focus Areas
- src/queue/src/Jobs/Job.php[299-320]
- src/queue/src/Worker.php[1121-1155]
## Recommended Fix
Run the before-failure callbacks before changing the job’s failed state, while retaining the existing deleted-job guard. Verify that a callback exception leaves the reserved job eligible for the worker’s release path.

4. Queue filter matches other numeric-looking queue names✓ Resolved
Description
getFailedJobs filters with $jobs->where('queue', $queue), and Collection where with two
arguments compares loosely using $retrieved == $value. Because PHP compares numeric strings by
value, --queue=1 also lists failed jobs from queues named 01 or 1.0, and --queue=1000 also
lists jobs from 1e3, even though this PR explicitly aims to handle numeric queue names like 0
correctly.
In EnumeratesValues, where's = / == operator branch returns $retrieved == $value, which is a
loose comparison. Queue names are strings, so numeric strings that are spelled differently compare
as equal.
The issue below was found during a code review. Follow the provided context and guidance below and implement a solution

`queue:failed --queue=X` filters with the loose `Collection::where`, so numeric-string queue names that differ in spelling (for example `1` and `01`) match each other.
## Fix Focus Areas
- src/queue/src/Console/ListFailedCommand.php[64-67]
## Recommended Fix
Replace `$jobs->where('queue', $queue)` with `$jobs->whereStrict('queue', $queue)`. Add a test case where failed jobs exist on queues `1` and `01`, and assert that only the exact match is listed.

- Line 67: Update the queue filter in the failed-job listing to use strict
matching, so `--queue=0` excludes jobs whose queue name is `00`. Add a `00`
record to the existing `0` queue test case and verify it is excluded.

Skip marker admission after a before-job listener has released or failed the attempt. Check crash-counting eligibility before querying lifecycle state so ordinary jobs retain their existing call path.
Reject a failed cache deletion while the marker remains, and mark a job failed only after its cleanup callbacks succeed. This lets the worker retry cleanup during its normal exception release instead of leaving the job reserved with a false failure flag.
Verified release-before-fire handoffs, failed deletion retries and failed-callback ordering, together with the queue unit and database/Redis integration suites and full static analysis.
Use strict queue-name comparisons when listing failed jobs and collecting file-provider retry IDs. Numeric names such as 0 and 00 must select different queues.
Regression tests cover the command output and filtered provider IDs. Queue unit and database/Redis integration suites, formatting and full static analysis pass.
Compare plain and encrypted object casts with object-mode decoding and strict serialized values. Associative decoding previously treated an empty JSON object and an empty array as equal, dropping a real attribute change.
Keep collection comparisons, custom decoding, malformed-original JSON recovery and encryption key rotation behavior intact. Tests cover root and nested shape changes, scalar types and equivalent formatting; model and encrypted-cast suites and full static analysis pass.
