Bumps the docs-toolchain group with 4 updates in the /docs directory: @holocron.so/vite, react, react-dom and vite.

Updates @holocron.so/vite from 0.29.0 to 0.36.0

Release notes

Sourced from @holocron.so/vite's releases.

@holocron.so/vite@0.36.0

  1. New FAQ and FAQ.Item MDX components. FAQ renders a divider-separated question list where each row expands inline. When the site assistant is enabled, a trailing ask row lets readers type their own question; the answer is generated from the docs and shown under the input. Editing the question re-arms the arrow to ask again. Ask requests are ephemeral and never touch the chat drawer session.

    <FAQ askPlaceholder="Ask anything about Holocron...">
      <FAQ.Item question="What is Holocron?">
        A Vite plugin that turns MDX files and a docs.json into a docs site.
      </FAQ.Item>
    </FAQ>

    See the FAQ docs.

  2. Every page now has exactly one H1, plus default Open Graph tags. Docs pages that opened with ## previously shipped with no H1. The generated title is now always injected as the H1 unless the page uses <Above> or hideTitle. Open Graph now always includes og:type (website on /, article elsewhere) and og:url (the canonical absolute page URL). Frontmatter still overrides both.

  3. Broken docs.json links fail the build. Production builds already failed on broken MDX links. Footer, navbar, and anchor hrefs in docs.json are now validated the same way, so a footer link to a missing page fails the build instead of going live as a 404.

  4. Page titles use a hyphen separator. <title> is now Page Title - Site Name instead of Page Title — Site Name. The hyphen is narrower, so less of the title gets truncated in Google results. The 404 page title uses the same separator.

  5. Frosted floating Ask AI pill, desktop and tablet only. The band under the floating pill now uses a masked backdrop-filter: blur() instead of a --background color gradient, so images, colored blocks and dark code no longer get a tint at the bottom of the viewport. The floating pill and its frost now render only at lg and up; phones no longer show the floating pill at all. The pill clearance is now 60px of padding under the footer instead of empty space on the page.

  6. AI chat drawer is full screen on mobile. On phones the open chat is edge to edge with no inset gap. The pill width is capped to the viewport instead of 100vw, so it no longer overflows when focused. Desktop keeps the rounded side panel.

  7. Quieter AI chat tool calls. Tool rows use a └ tree glyph, smaller muted monospace, and tighter spacing between consecutive calls, so they sit behind the answer instead of competing with it.

  8. Right aside stays on MCP and OpenAPI tabs in compact layout. Compact still applies to authored docs pages. Every page in an MCP or OpenAPI tab, including authored overview pages, uses the default three-column frame so request examples and the aside stay visible. Short MCP and API pages keep the left nav pinned.

  9. VideoBackgroundShader opacity fixes. canvasClassName opacity classes now apply after the canvas fades in; before, an inline opacity: 1 overrode them. The dotAlphaMultiplier prop (0-1, default 1) is now documented for washing the dots out without fading the whole canvas:

    <VideoBackgroundShader
      src="/hero-bg.mp4"
      canvasClassName="dark:opacity-60 opacity-40"
      dotAlphaMultiplier={0.4}
    />
  10. Holocron logo is an inline SVG. The wordmark in AI chat, login, and the dashboard now inherits currentColor, so it follows light and dark text.

  11. Removed the DialKit config panel. The live docs.json tweak pane on dev and preview subdomains is gone, and dialkit is no longer in the client bundle. The dashboard live preview still works through ?configOverride= and the config-override postMessage listener.

  12. Fixed dotted MDX components. <Tree.Folder>, <Tree.File>, <Color.Row> and <Color.Item> no longer render as "Unsupported jsx component".

  13. Code-block bleed keeps a gap to the right sidebar. With a tight layout.columnGap, fenced code no longer sits flush against the Ask AI widget. Bleed now leaves a 16px gap to the adjacent column. The default 60px gap is unchanged.

  14. Sidebar search highlight only shows while the input is focused. The arrow-key active-row highlight no longer stays painted after the search input loses focus.

@holocron.so/vite@0.35.2

  1. Keep sidebar search compact. Parent pages of heading hits stay visible. Sibling pages and sibling headings hide. Search with AI chat sits at the top of the filtered tree.

Updates react from 19.2.8 to 19.3.0

Release notes

Sourced from react's releases.

19.3.0 (September 9, 2026)

Below is a list of all new features, APIs, and bug fixes.

Read the React 19.3 release post for more information.

New React Features

New React DOM Features

  • browser(): a new react-dom API that returns a usable which errors during server rendering and resolves in the browser. use(browser()) inside a <Suspense> boundary marks a subtree as browser-only without reporting a recoverable error (@gnoff: #37143, #37241)
    • Added an onBrowserBailout option to the react-dom/server APIs to observe when a subtree defers to the browser (@gnoff #37193)
