Good catch on the favicon issue.

Two things:

  • Needs a rebase, the content dir moved to content/deploy/.
  • The favicon bit isn't GitHub Pages specific, might fit better in the SEO/Meta docs with a link from here.

Left some line comments.

📝 Walkthrough

The GitHub Pages guide adds a GitHub Actions example that derives the repository name from GITHUB_REPOSITORY and sets NUXT_APP_BASE_URL. It notes that custom-domain deployments can omit this setting. A new Favicons section shows how to use import.meta.env.NUXT_APP_BASE_URL, with / as a fallback, when constructing favicon URLs.

Priority: ⬇️ Low

Estimated code review effort: 2 (Simple) | ~8 minutes

Severity of issue fixed: Low

Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to 4fe33

The guide omits the requested project-site favicon example, and its copyable workflow can misconfigure root-served user or organization sites. The prose gives readers a workaround, so the risk is bounded, but the deployment guidance should be aligned.

No functions found in the changed files to evaluate docstring coverage. Skipping docstring coverage check. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff. Analyzed 0 functions across 0 files. (1 skipped: 1 unsupported.)

Full details: Description check

Explanation

The pull request description directly matches the changeset. It identifies the documentation update for GitHub Pages deployment, the GitHub Actions repository-name example, and favicon configuration guidance.

Full details: Linked Issues check

Explanation

Issue #1776 requires two coding-documentation objectives. The deployment documentation now shows a generic repository-path value and uses it in the workflow. However, the Favicons section only gives prose and a link to SEO and Meta. It does not provide the requested nuxt.config.ts example that reads import.meta.env.NUXT_APP_BASE_URL, falls back to /, and prefixes favicon URLs. The documented expression uses github.event.repository.name, not the issue's requested GITHUB_REPOSITORY shell form, although it can provide the repository name in this workflow context.

Resolution

Add the requested nuxt.config.ts favicon example in content/deploy/github-pages.md. Show the NUXT_APP_BASE_URL fallback and base-prefixed favicon links for files in public/. Also show the requested GITHUB_REPOSITORY form, or explain why the equivalent GitHub Actions context expression replaces it.

Full details: Out of Scope Changes check

Explanation

The workflow changes that add the repository base URL directly support issue #1776. The diff also renames the workflow and upgrades actions/checkout to v7, actions/setup-node to v7, Node.js to 24, actions/upload-pages-artifact to v5, and actions/deploy-pages to v5. These changes do not implement the linked issue's documentation requirements.

Resolution

Remove the unrelated workflow name, action-version, and Node.js-version changes, or link them to a separate requirement. Keep the workflow changes that document the generic NUXT_APP_BASE_URL configuration.
