- SCP-1045 is a wooden candle lantern that, when a candle is lit inside it, displays the shadow of a small humanoid figure on its translucent sides. This shadow always appears to be in pain and surrounded by flames, becoming more frantic as the candle burns down. Strangely, all candle wax residue from the lantern is found to be human fat, no matter what the original candle was made of. If a scented candle is used, the shadows can also make incoherent screaming sounds, with the volume depending on how strong the scent is.
