Publishing was broken and is fixed. From 23 October every Publish to npm run on main failed with ENEEDAUTH on three packages that had never been on npm: @prisma/orm-mysql, @prisma/orm-target-mysql (#30856) and @prisma/orm-postgres-contrib (#30904). Trusted publishing cannot authenticate a package that does not exist yet. They were published once by hand and given a trusted publisher; the re-run of run 41053844815 then published all three from CI. The failed runs had also skipped the rc.21 git tag and GitHub Release, which the upgrade-coverage check needs to find the previous release. v8.0.0-rc.21 now exists at the rc.21 release commit fad17c1d03.
Merging this PR ships the release. The push to main carries the new root version. The Publish to npm workflow then publishes 8.0.0-rc.22 under the latest dist-tag and creates a pre-release GitHub Release.
Upgrade guides:skills/prisma-8/upgrading/{app,extension}/upgrades/8.0.0-rc.21-to-8.0.0-rc.22/instructions.md, assembled from the fifteen pending fragments (the fifteenth, from feat(mysql): send each MySQL statement in one round trip, with the mariadb package substituting values #30918, declares no change). The app guide has 19 changes plus the Supabase restamp, opens with the order to do the steps in, and ships one script (value-objects-in-storage). The extension guide has 16 changes. None was dropped. The originals are archived unchanged under upgrade-instructions/releases/8.0.0-rc.21-to-8.0.0-rc.22/sources/.
The convenience types entry now says to leave a DateTime(as: ...) field alone, and the step order renames the old types before rewriting the temporal.* aliases. Otherwise an agent would rename the DateTime(as: temporal) the alias table writes.
References to "this release's guide" now name the rc.20 → rc.21 guide they meant.
Tests: the upgrade-instruction tests read the published guides and script. The value-objects-in-storage tests no longer call live framework code: the two tests that checked the fixtures against this release's serializers are removed, and the one hash they computed is a recorded constant.
Version bump: every package.json, pnpm-lock.yaml (workspace specifiers only), the skill's library_version, and the Supabase contract version stamps.
Checks run locally
check:upgrade-coverage --mode publish --prev fad17c1d03 --head HEAD: pass. The --mode pr form CI runs passes now that the tag exists.
Added repeatable client connect() behavior, PostgreSQL extension declarations and additional types, plus MySQL ORM and SQL-builder read support.
Breaking Changes
PostgreSQL date/time defaults and types, value-object storage, MongoDB APIs and indexes, and extension-pack migrations have changed. Review the upgrade guidance before updating.
Bug Fixes
Improved precision for PostgreSQL now() values and clarified Prisma 7 @db.* diagnostics.

Walkthrough
This pull request prepares Prisma ORM 8.0.0-rc.22. It adds release notes and upgrade guides, a script to move value objects into storage and update related artifacts, and workspace version updates from rc.21 to rc.22.
Adds a script that validates and rewrites value-object contract data, declarations, hashes, snapshots, and migration references. It plans updates before writing and reports validation or write failures.
Upgrade guides and detection tests skills/prisma-8/upgrading/*, test/integration/test/upgrade-instructions/*
Adds app and extension instructions for rc.21-to-rc.22 changes, including value-object storage, date/time types, PostgreSQL extension packs, MongoDB APIs and indexes, and connect() behavior. Detection tests point to these guides.
Documents the release features, API changes, fixes, and upgrade steps.
Workspace version alignment package.json, apps/*/package.json, examples/*/package.json, packages/*/package.json, test/*/package.json, skills/prisma-8/SKILL.md
Updates package versions and workspace dependency references to rc.22. Supabase contract declarations and fixtures also use the rc.22 extension version.
No actionable release-documentation issue remains in the supplied evidence. Normal publication checks are still needed.

Restore the live hash check for the upgrade script.
value-objects-in-storage.ts has its own copied computeStorageHash implementation. The remaining fixture assertions compare only with recorded hashes and snapshot paths. They do not detect drift from the live SQL or Mongo hash rules. The separate serializer tests exercise the framework implementation, not this script.
Restore one live hash assertion for each SQL and Mongo fixture. Assert that each rewritten storageHash matches @internal/contract/hashing with the family canonicalization hooks, and that each snapshot directory name matches that hash. This is a test-coverage gap, not evidence of a current production hash failure.

by the PostgreSQL-specific convenience-type rename, but MySQL DateTime columns
read as JavaScript Date values are affected by date-default-below-a-millisecond
validation. Update the matching entry in CHANGELOG.md to preserve the same

docs/releases/v8.0.0-rc.22.md, mirrored inCHANGELOG.md. Seven breaking changes: the PostgreSQL convenience date and time types (TML-3712: PostgreSQL gets convenience types DateTime, Date, Time and Duration, and the tools write them #30847), value objects in storage (TML-3537: Changing a value object or a variant is a migration, and Postgres checks value object and discriminator columns #30869), the MongoDB execution context (TML-3686, TML-3689, TML-3690: MongoDB queries take an execution context, as SQL queries do, so only validating entry points accept a contract #30865), the MongoDB driver descriptor (TML-3763: mongo() creates its driver from the execution stack, as postgres() does #30906), packs declaring their Postgres extension (feat(postgres): contracts declare Postgres extensions, so db sign adopts databases that use pgvector, PostGIS or ParadeDB #30902), one installed copy of Prisma ORM (TML-3724: Prisma ORM refuses to run from two copies, and says which #30883) and merged MongoDB indexes (TML-3740: A MongoDB field with both @unique and @@index gets one unique index, and identical indexes in a collection merge instead of being refused #30894). Six features and two fixes. The notes leave out fix(telemetry-backend): add the missing exitCode migration and test migrations in CI #30728 (telemetry backend), CI setup is robust to network failures and downloads mongod once per job #30891 (CI), TML-3765, TML-3766: Two package tests that fail on main pass again #30901 (tests), and TML-3616: Close out the MongoDB authoring project: final retro, decisions moved into ADR 254 and ADR 306, follow-ups filed #30862, TML-3709: Close out the convenience date and time types project: final retro, the renames' exception recorded in ADR 257, follow-ups filed #30895, TML-3769: The Prisma 6 and Prisma 7 contract sources state that their contract signs the existing database unchanged #30897 and Docs: agents never change the framework domain, and stop to tell the operator when a design needs to #30898 (docs only).skills/prisma-8/upgrading/{app,extension}/upgrades/8.0.0-rc.21-to-8.0.0-rc.22/instructions.md, assembled from the fifteen pending fragments (the fifteenth, from feat(mysql): send each MySQL statement in one round trip, with the mariadb package substituting values #30918, declares no change).
