Description

The labs listing is still early. This adds a yellow banner at the top of /labs so people see that the page is a preview and may contain bugs or run slowly. The banner also keeps the existing feedback address.

The generic "ongoing project" note is removed from the labs table toolbar, so this page does not show two warnings. Trees, hardware, and issues still use that note.

None.

Progress

  • Preview banner on the labs listing
  • Copy in messages/index.ts
  • Remove the duplicate under-development note from the labs toolbar

Pull request checklist

  • Tests: This PR includes tests for covering the features or bug fixes (if applicable).
  • Docs: This PR updates/creates the necessary documentation.
  • CI: Make sure your Pull Request passes all CI checks. If not, clarify the motif behind that and the action plan to solve it (may reference a ticket)

No new tests or docs. The change is a banner and one message string.

How to test it

  1. Open /labs.
  2. Confirm the yellow banner sits above the table and reads: "Preview feature. This page may contain bugs or run slowly. Please report bugs and suggestions to kernelci-webdashboard@groups.io."
  3. Confirm the gray "ongoing project" line is gone from the labs toolbar. Pagination stays on the right.
  4. Open /tree, /hardware, and /issues and confirm those pages still show the gray "ongoing project" note.

Visual reference

Screenshot of /labs with the banner is in a comment on this PR. The table in that shot failed to load from the staging API, so the empty error state is unrelated to this change.

Made with Cursor

The labs listing is still early, so warn that it may contain bugs or run slowly before people treat the page as finished.

Labs listing with the preview banner above the table. The table error in this shot is the staging API failing to load, separate from the banner.
