Skill Training project page

Public project page for Skill Training with Corruption and Reconstruction Loop.

Updating the page

Edit index.html for text, author details, links, the results table, or citation. Edit style.css for appearance. The paper buttons open the author-provided latest PDF hosted at assets/paper.pdf. When replacing that file, update the ?v= value on all PDF links and citation_pdf_url to the first 12 characters of its SHA-256 hash to avoid stale cached PDFs. The BibTeX citation retains the canonical arXiv record https://arxiv.org/abs/2607.27557. The visible date is the initial release in July 2026. Figures are in assets/framework.png, assets/training-curve.png, and assets/transfer.png. The method section opens with a 22-second animation, assets/teaser.mp4, with assets/teaser-poster.jpg as its still frame. It starts from the beginning once half of it scrolls into view, pauses when scrolled away, and loops. It plays with sound when the browser allows it; browsers refuse sound until the visitor has clicked or tapped on the page, and then it plays muted. The speaker button in its corner shows the current state; turning sound on restarts the video. Visitors who prefer reduced motion see the still frame with player controls instead.

Push changes to main. GitHub Pages publishes from the root directory of main, with .nojekyll enabling plain static files. There is no build step or package installation.

Sources

Content and results are from the author-provided preprint-20260926.pdf dated September 26, 2026. The page retains the revised title and six-author list supplied by the author; the citation points to arXiv:2607.27557. assets/paper.pdf is the latest author-supplied manuscript served directly by this site, including while an arXiv replacement is pending. The three figures were rendered from the corresponding original figure PDFs. Table values follow Table 2; the preference-study counts follow Section 4.4 and Appendix H. Training curves reproduce Figure 6 and follow Section 5.2 and Appendix G, using the fixed 180-episode subset rather than the full 385-episode evaluation. Research code is available in the separate public research repository linked above.

The method animation was made by the authors from the framework figure: an HTML animation rendered frame by frame, with music and sound effects synthesized in code, so it contains no third-party media. Its training curve uses the Figure 6 data; the screenplay lines in it are illustrative.

The header and browser icons use the author-supplied logo.png from SkillTron, copied unchanged to assets/logo.png.

When changing style.css or script.js, update the ?v= value in its link in index.html to the first 12 characters of that file’s SHA-256 hash. This prevents cached old styles from being paired with new HTML. Keep the header logo’s inline dimensions as a fallback.
