Summary

Modernizes and professionalizes the tarkovtracker-org/.github meta-repository with verified organization defaults aligned with the flagship TarkovTracker repository and ecosystem architecture:

  1. Organization Profile (profile/README.md):

    • Replaced placeholder copy with an ecosystem table mapping all public active and archived repositories (private repositories are intentionally omitted).
    • Added verified status badges (Website, Discord invite M8nBgA2sT6, Crowdin localization project).
    • Documented core principles (free core features with optional supporter tiers, developed in the open, privacy-first local storage, community-driven, data integrity), onboarding pathways, and contributor links.
    • Preserved trademark disclaimer for Battlestate Games.
  2. Repository Overview (README.md):

    • Outlined GitHub's community health inheritance mechanism and precedence rules (repo-level files override org defaults).
    • Linked directly to live ecosystem services and communication channels.
  3. Org-Wide Community Health Files:

    • CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md: Contributor Covenant v2.1 adapted for TarkovTracker-org with clear enforcement standards, community impact guidelines, and contact channels (support@tarkovtracker.org, Discord moderation).
    • CONTRIBUTING.md: Cross-repo contributor workflow, issue triage guidelines, good-first-issue tags, AI contribution standards (aligned with TarkovTracker/AGENTS.md), and PR guidelines.
    • SECURITY.md: Coordinated vulnerability disclosure policy, supported versions, GitHub Private Vulnerability Reporting (advisories/new), 72h / 7d response SLA commitments, out-of-scope boundaries, and safe harbor clause.
    • SUPPORT.md: Support routing matrix directing gameplay questions to Discord, bugs/features to relevant repo trackers, game data inaccuracies to tarkov-data-overlay, and sensitive matters to private channels.
  4. Issue & Pull Request Templates:

    • .github/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/config.yml: Enabled blank issues with quick-links to Discord, Live Web App, Crowdin translations, and Security Policy.
    • .github/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/bug_report.yml: Structured GitHub issue form with reproduction steps, game mode selector (PvP / PvE), and checklist.
    • .github/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/feature_request.yml: Structured GitHub issue form with problem statement, proposed solution, and alternatives. Both forms state that issues are filed in the repository where the form was opened.
    • .github/pull_request_template.md: Comprehensive PR checklist covering testing verification, type of change, related issue linking, and code standards.
  5. CI Automation & Linting:

    • .github/workflows/ci.yml: GitHub Actions workflow running markdownlint-cli2 and lychee on push and PR to main. Actions pinned to immutable full commit SHAs (actions/checkout@3d3c42e5aac5ba805825da76410c181273ba90b1, actions/setup-node@820762786026740c76f36085b0efc47a31fe5020 + markdownlint-cli2@0.23.3, lycheeverse/lychee-action@e7477775783ea5526144ba13e8db5eec57747ce8, actions/upload-artifact@043fb46d1a93c77aae656e7c1c64a875d1fc6a0a).
    • .markdownlint.json: Configuration (MD013, MD024, MD033, MD041, MD060 adjusted).
    • lychee.toml: Link checker configuration with concurrency limits, retry backoff, and anchored host exclusions for anti-bot/JS-required domains (discord.gg, tarkovtracker.org, escapefromtarkov.com, x.com/twitter.com). CI scans hidden directories and remaps this repo's own absolute blob/main links to the checkout so they are validated before merge.

Verification

Head commit: a548ecc (clean worktree).

  • markdownlint-cli2@0.23.3 '**/*.md' — 0 issues (7 files, including .github/).
  • lychee 0.24.2 --hidden with self-link remap — 0 errors locally; CI Link Check passes.
  • actionlint .github/workflows/ci.yml — clean; YAML issue forms parse.
  • Facts checked against the GitHub API and flagship repo: repository visibility/licenses (RatScanner/RatEye are ELv2-based), labels in inheriting repos, which repos override issue templates, TarkovMonitor issues disabled, Discord invite and channel names, supporter tiers.
  • Follow-up commit fixed the original CI startup_failure (non-allowlisted third-party action) and stripped UTF-8 BOMs from all files.

Review

  • Codex: unavailable (usage limit) — recorded as incomplete; docs/config-only change, self-reviewed plus deterministic checks above.
