A website for the project at https://triggeredcode.github.io/lucid/ (Pages is enabled on the repository, deploying from Actions), with the download options.

What

  • site/: one static page in the app's own design language (black and white, hairlines, one filled button, iA Writer Mono served from the site, light and dark, responsive down to a phone). Sections: the idea (what you say, what Lucid builds), what a page is made of (the eight block types), how it works with the real pictures, the five note formats and how to add one, the download card, MCP for agents, privacy, questions.
  • Download card: version, release date, the sizes of the .dmg and .zip, direct links and the checksums file, filled from GitHub's public API for the latest release (one request, cached for ten minutes in the tab; without it the links go to the releases page). It also says what to do the first time macOS asks, how to check the download, and how to build from source, each with a copy button.
  • scripts/build-site.mjs assembles _site/ from site/, the pictures in docs/images and docs/guide.html; .github/workflows/pages.yml builds and deploys it when those change.
  • A test (site.test.ts): links and anchors resolve, nothing is loaded from a third party, the script talks only to GitHub's API for the latest release, pictures have descriptions and sizes, the typeface is served from the site, and the contrast of the site's colours in both themes (body text 4.5:1, small grey text 3:1; mutation-checked). The contrast helper is shared with the app's own contrast test.

Design rules, so sizes are not guessed: a 4 px spacing scale, a type scale of about 1.25, three radii (8/12/16), 1 px borders, motion limited to a short rise on scroll and switched off for visitors who ask for less motion.

Checked

  • pnpm run ci (1327 tests), typecheck, lint, formatting.
  • The assembled site viewed at desktop width in light and dark and at phone width (no horizontal overflow); the live release data filled the card.

One static page in the app's own design language (black and white, hairlines, iA Writer Mono
served from the site, light and dark): the idea, what a page is made of, how it works with the
real pictures, the note formats, and a download card that shows the latest release (version,
date, sizes, direct links, and what to do the first time macOS asks). It makes one network
request, to GitHub's public API for the latest release, and works without it.

scripts/build-site.mjs assembles it with the pictures and the guide. A test checks that its
links resolve, that nothing loads from a third party, that pictures have descriptions and
sizes, and the contrast of its colours in both themes.
