Contributing

The Valency public repos are public source. We publish them so users can read, audit, fork, and self-host the agent surface area. These are not community-driven open source projects — we don't actively solicit contributions.

Issues — yes

Bug reports are welcome. File a GitHub issue with a clear reproduction. Internal engineering will triage; we don't promise response times.

For security issues, see SECURITY.md — do not file as a public issue.

Pull requests — generally no

We do not accept feature PRs, refactors, dependency bumps, or stylistic changes. Most of these will be closed without merge.

The narrow exception is a genuine bug fix with a clear reproduction. If you've identified a real bug and you have the fix, you can open a PR. We may merge it, we may reimplement it ourselves and credit you, or we may close it. No promises.

If you do open a PR

By submitting a contribution, you license it to Valency Systems Inc. and to every downstream user under the project's license, MIT or Apache-2.0 as stated in its LICENSE (inbound = outbound). Keep the change minimal — just the fix, no surrounding cleanup.

Forks

These repos are MIT- or Apache-2.0-licensed; check each repo's LICENSE. You can fork, modify, and redistribute freely, subject to the trademark policy. We don't merge most upstream contributions back.
