Summary

Add the community health files GitHub checks for.

  • SECURITY.md: report vulnerabilities through GitHub private vulnerability reporting (enabled on this repo), not public issues. Supported: latest 2.x. Short summary of security controls that exist in code and docs, with links: GITLAB_PERMISSION_MODE, GITLAB_ALLOWED_PROJECT_IDS + ENABLE_STRICT_PROJECT_SCOPE, response masking (GITLAB_MASKING_ENABLED).
  • .github/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/bug_report.yml: version, MCP client, transport (stdio / SSE / Streamable HTTP), GitLab type and version, repro, logs (with a reminder to redact tokens).
  • .github/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/feature_request.yml: problem, proposal, context.
  • .github/ISSUE_TEMPLATE/config.yml: blank issues off; security link to private advisory reporting.
  • .github/PULL_REQUEST_TEMPLATE.md: summary, related issue, tests, README (en/ko/zh-CN/pt-BR) and docs/ sync, breaking change.

Left out on purpose: log redaction and the untrusted-content prefix on job logs exist in code but are not documented under docs/ yet, so they are not claimed in SECURITY.md. No CODE_OF_CONDUCT.

Tests

  • npm run build, npm run test:schema, npm run check:skill-sync: pass
  • npm run docs:tools: no drift
  • mkdocs build --strict: pass

Breaking change

No.

- Around line 30-36: Update the Project allowlist documentation to state that
strict-scope mode refuses instance-wide and group-wide tools when either
GITLAB_ALLOWED_PROJECT_IDS or GITLAB_PROJECT_ID defines the project scope,
because those tools cannot be limited to that scope.
- Around line 30-36: Update the strict-scope description in the Project
allowlist section of SECURITY.md to qualify that count and total_pages remain
unfiltered GitLab totals only when GitLab provides their corresponding headers;
document that count falls back to the filtered page length when x-total is
absent and total_pages is omitted when x-total-pages is absent.
