What changed and why

Replaced two hardcoded section header labels in the multi folder scan output with the shared GATE_CLASS_LABELS constants.

This keeps the terminal output consistent with the shared severity labels and avoids duplicated strings.

Changes made

  • Updated src/scan/multi-folder-scan.ts to use GATE_CLASS_LABELS.overrideHygiene and GATE_CLASS_LABELS.maintenanceRisk.
  • Updated tests/multi-folder-scan.test.ts to verify that both headers use the shared constants.

Testing

  • 65 multi-folder scan tests passed.
  • npm run build passed.
  • npm run lint:tests passed.

Closes #1335

Summary

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Tests
    • Expanded coverage for terminal output when maintenance-risk labels are customized, including checks that displayed labels reflect the configured values and that original labels are restored after the test. No user-facing behavior changes are included in this update.

The multi-folder scan test now verifies that terminal output uses the shared override hygiene and maintenance risk labels. It restores the original labels after the test.

Changes: Multi-folder gate headings

tests/multi-folder-scan.test.ts
The test substitutes sentinel values for both labels, checks that output contains the sentinels and excludes the literal label text, then restores the originals in a finally block.

Full details: Title check

Explanation

The title uses the required "fix:" prefix, lowercase after the colon, and no trailing period. It describes the change: the multi-folder scan now uses shared gate labels instead of hardcoded headers. It matches the main change in the summary and objectives.

Full details: Description check

Explanation

The description follows the template's "What changed and why" section with a clear explanation of the change, and it adds a "Changes made" and "Testing" section. It ends with "Closes #1335", which fills the template's issue reference. The description is complete and specific.

Full details: Linked Issues check

Explanation

Issue #1335 is closed and supplies historical context only. No active directly linked issue adds coding requirements. The whole-PR diff shows focused test coverage for shared label headings, which is consistent with the stated intent.

Full details: Out of Scope Changes check

Explanation

The whole-PR diff contains only a focused test change in tests/multi-folder-scan.test.ts. The test substitutes shared labels, checks both headings, checks that hardcoded text is absent, and restores the labels. This change supports the stated label-consistency intent and no unrelated change is shown.

Full details: Closes Keyword Matches Scope

Explanation

The body uses Closes #1335, and the reviewed head satisfies all issue requirements. The multi-folder headers use GATE_CLASS_LABELS.overrideHygiene and .maintenanceRisk at lines 494 and 504. The updated test replaces both labels with sentinels and rejects hardcoded text. Source and gate/exit-code behavior have no diff in the reviewed range, and the label literals remain only in src/utils/severity.ts.

Full details: No New Runtime Dependency

Explanation

The pull request changes only tests/multi-folder-scan.test.ts. The authoritative diff has no changes to package.json or dependency lockfiles, so it adds no runtime dependency and does not move any package from devDependencies.

Minor · Maintainability & Code Quality · Low value

Rename the test to match what it asserts.

The test title says "logs yellow notice", but the assertion only checks the text. In the default test run, the repository's chalk wrapper returns plain text, so removing chalk.yellow from the notice would not change the result. Rename the test, or add a styling check that runs with color enabled.

As per path instructions, flag "fixtures that cannot exhibit the condition they claim to test."

These JSON stdout tests do not catch extra stdout writes.

These tests parse only the first process.stdout.write call. If a later write adds non-JSON text, the tests still pass. Joining all writes before parsing makes the test check the whole stdout stream. An empty trailing write, such as the one from drainStdout, adds nothing to the joined text, so the parse still succeeds.

The ratchet-mode stdout test uses the same first-write parse, so the same change can apply there.

extra non-JSON output anywhere in the captured stream causes the tests to fail.

Thanks for picking this up, @anatbimblich, and welcome. It turns out this one was already done: #1338 moved those two headers onto GATE_CLASS_LABELS and closed #1335 on 24 October, which is why only the test file is left in your diff after merging main. The existing test already swaps the labels for sentinel values, and putting a hand-typed header back fails it, so I'm going to close this rather than change the test's approach. Thanks for the effort, and I'd be glad to see you on another issue.
