fix(frontend): check the @types/node version the lockfile resolves - #271
Conversation
Review of 4ba3f29: parsing the devDependencies specifier missed a range spanning two majors, an npm: alias, comparators, and @types/node listed under dependencies. The check now reads the resolved version from package-lock.json, which each of those specifiers resolves to. Agent-Session: f6561fed-d6d9-4fd1-a9d3-9db9f9613f55

Compare the resolved Node types version frontend/scripts/verify-node-version.mjs |
The script reads the resolved @types/node version from package-lock.json. If its major differs from the canonical Node major, the error reports the resolved major. If no version is resolved, the check is skipped. |

The check now validates the resolved Node types version rather than its declared range. The current lockfile matches the required Node major, and no actionable merge-blocking risk was found.

A lockfile holds the version in view
The script checks its major, too
A mismatch gets a clear report
No resolved version? Skip that sort

What changed in this PR
Updates the frontend Node version guard to check the resolved @types/node version in package-lock.json rather than its declared version in package.json.
Changes:
- Compares the lockfile-resolved types major with the canonical Node runtime major, covering ranges, aliases, and dependency placement.
- Updates the mismatch error to report the resolved and required major versions.

frontend/scripts/verify-node-version.mjs |
Reads the resolved @types/node version from the lockfile and clarifies mismatch errors. |
Review effort: Balanced
verify-node-version.mjs now reads the resolved @types/node version from package-lock.json, so ranges, aliases, and dependencies placement are judged by what installs. Probe: a lockfile resolving 26.6.5 fails; the current 24.19.2 passes.
