To create an innovative startup you'll need by definition to take some risks and have an outlook for the future to make decisions in the technologies you adopt.
Here are some of the things we believed in through the years (some more valid than others)
2009
Semantics don't help - they confuse
A developer excels when he/she operates on a single platform. And the platform has already been defined by the W3C.
2011
OOCSS is better than Pre-processors
2012
WebGL is the only graphics engine you'll need installed on your machine
The server can be smarter than just serving the "static" content - in such case no build process should be necessary
It's all about implementation, not necessarily innovation.
2013
ONE nesting level should be ENOUGH for most applications. If you require more nesting in your logic you probably have an OO architecture issue.
